Independent Advocacy Qualification
The Certificate in Independent Advocacy (Level 3) is a new
qualification which has been developed by City & Guilds in
partnership with the Department of Health and aims to ensure
the quality and consistency of advocacy training and practice.
The events below cover the learning outcomes from each of the four
mandatory units from the qualification.
Purpose and principles of Independent Advocacy
This event will provide delegates with an understanding of what
Independent Advocacy is, and how to use the values and principles
which underpin good practice. It gives an introduction to different
models of advocacy and their history, an understanding of advocacy
standards.
