These qualifications are designed to apply to general competence-based qualifications as well as NVQ assessment centres. They are therefore available to you if you assess key skills or IT for example, as long as the structure of the award satisfies the stringent requirements established by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

The programme is designed on the basis of introductory group sessions, followed by tutorial support and work-based assessment on an individual basis, up to one year. Open learning packages are supplied to support your learning. Workshops are run throughout the year, but fill up quickly, so you should send in your application as soon as possible to ensure you are interviewed in time to secure a place. Workshops can also be organised for companies who wish to support a group of staff in gaining these awards.
