The Foundation Degree will provide you with the opportunity to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of early years and related issues, enabling you to become a competent and well qualified Early Years Practitioner. The Foundation Degree will give you a nationally recognised qualification and evidence of your ability to work in the Early Years sector. You will also have the chance to articulate to Level 2 (Semester 2, Year 2) BA Early Childhood Studies at Stranmillis and South West College, Omagh Campus.

About this course

Four GCSEs Grade C or above/equivalent including English and Maths and one of the following: BTEC Diploma in Early Years, NVQ Level 3 CCLD/two A Levels/equivalent. Access Course at 55%. Leaving Certificate English and Maths Grade D (Ordinary). Refer to general entry requirements.

Please note that progression to a postgraduate teaching qualification in Northern Ireland requires Learners to have GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C or above or specified equivalent qualifications. The full-time Foundation Degree can only be applied for through UCAS. Part-time Learners applying must complete the following: ECS - Employment History, ECS - Reference and Application Form.
