Who Should Attend?
A one day course aimed at operators and supervisors who have received no formal instruction and those requiring refresher training.


Aim
To give delegates an understanding of the various classifications of quick hitch devices. Identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices. Understand how to use quick hitch devices safely in the workplace

  • Identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices
  • Describe the operators legal duties with respect to the use of quick hitches
  • Describe and apply safe working practices for the use of quick hitches
  • Practically connect and disconnect attachments safely
  • Know when and how to conduct visual inspections of the quick hitch equipment
  • Maintenance of quick hitch equipment
  • Apply the appropriate methods for testing connections
  • Realise the importance of following the manufacturers specification for use
