Colour for Quilters

Colour for quilters with Sheena – Jane White Tuition

25-26 February 2017

Part 1 – Choosing fabrics for your project can be a great challenge. Sometimes we put fabrics together and they look fantastic, sometimes they just don’t work! Investigate warm and cool tones, relative value, intensity and proportion. Using some traditional quilt blocks you will get to play, to audition fabrics and see what is great and what works better. You will learn some guidelines that you can rely on for putting them together and gain confidence in your own colour choices.

Part 2 – Design and make a small wall hanging utilising the guidelines from Part 1. The amount of work completed by each participant will depend on their existing skills and pace of work
