Recruitment and Selection The recruitment and selection of staff is critical in ensuring quality services for service users.  Not all organisations have an HR department and even those who do, generally require managers, untrained in HR, to actively participate in the process.  This course therefore aims to provide the manager with basic knowledge and skills so as to engage in the process with confidence.  Issues covered will include job descriptions and person specifications, advertising, short-listing, interviewing etc.  Legislation and diversity issues will also be examined
