The process of making a placement & managing your time
One day course
This one day course is a follow on from 'So you want to be a recruitment consultant' and will enable the trainee or refresher delegates to return to the office and start to make money. It will give them the rest of the tools, knowledge and skills to carry out client visits confidently, take quality job orders and profile jobs (submit CVs, arrange interviews, follow through to managing the offer and closing the deal). At the end of the day delegates will be looking at ways of managing their time and put together a weekly planner.
What's included in the day:
Delegates will be given the opportunity to discuss the problems and challenges they faced during the previous week and given ideas on how to overcome these.
The client visit:
- Booking the meeting
- Introductory letters/emails
- Preparation - what to take
- Structure of the visit
- Questions to ask at the client visit
- What you want to achieve
- The client visit itself
- Closing the visit
- Follow up procedures
- Taking a quality job order
- Characteristics of a qualified vacancy & activity
- Job profiling, chase up feedback on CVs, arranging interviews, the interview itself, chasing up interview feedback
- The offer, closing the offer, placement aftercare
- managing your time by structuring your week - putting in place a weekly planner
- Action development plan
At the end of the week, the delegate's manager is sent a feedback form to complete on the progress of the delegate which is emailed back to Firebird Training. A follow up visit is arranged with the manager.
