1) To facilitate an enhanced understanding of light vehicle air conditioning systems at a practical level only to promote safe servicing and refrigerant handling. 2) To assess technician theoretical and practical competence in the handling of refrigerant gases to the IMI A/C ATA refrigerant handling standard. Suitable for: Technicians who have a very good theoretical knowledge of air conditioning systems and regulations and require refresher practical training only prior to F gas assessment in order to comply with the law.

COURSE CONTENT
Safe handling of refrigerant gases at a practical level only.
DETAILED DESCRIPTOR
- Induction - introduction to training staff and subject, aims of course and course outline. Lunch, tea/coffee and biscuits at appropriate times.
- Recycling equipment operation (recovery, recycling, evacuation, recharging, reclamation)
- Lubricants and oil refilling
- Leak detection, UV dye and electronic only
- Practical and underpinning knowledge assessment - the safe handling of refrigerant gases to the IMI A/C ATA refrigerant handling standard (Institute of the Motor Industry).
CONCLUSION
Feedback from course (IMI certificates will be issued to those who meet the required standard during assessment via recorded post).
