Registered Managers Award

This NVQ is aimed at candidates who are managers within the care and social care sectors. It is suitable for candidates who:

• develop, maintain and evaluate systems and structures to the benefit of others
• manage a service within the care and social care sector
• manage financial resources, projects and activities
• manage the performance of teams and individuals

This qualification enables managers to gain a competence based qualification which meets the national minimum standards for best practice in this area. It includes a broad range of management skills but is clearly based in the context of care services for adults. The award reflects the varied size, nature and organisational setting of adult care services and the diverse roles of the manager. Managers complete ten units from a possible 23.
