Reiki Level 1

The Reiki method taught is the Usui method of healing. There are no pre-requisites for learning Reiki and any one who feels that they would benefit from this universal healing energy for both themselves and others including our nature and animal kingdom can be attuned to Reiki. It is beneficial for those who suffer chronic pain to be attuned as well, in order to manage pain relief.

Our Reiki Training Classes are held at Touch of Heaven, in small groups on either weekends or week days to suit the students and can be one to one or up to a group of 5. Lunch, which is usually vegetarian is included as well as tea/refreshments and if weather permits, lunch and tea in the garden.

The courses are taught over 2 or 4 full days with 4 attunements for First degree, 2 attunements for Second Degree and 3 attunements for the Third Degree. (During a Reiki course, Reiki is simply transferred from the teacher to the student through a process called an attunement.) All classes are both instructional and with hands-on practice and certificated.

The first level course starts with the introduction to Reiki; its origins, a bit about the student and why they want to learn Reiki. Meditation and explanation of the effects of Reiki and how it works and the principals of Reiki. Tutorial on the different ways of Reiki treatment including self treatment and treatment for others, hand positions and practice on each other.

I also introduce crystals which can be used in a healing session and do so with all the levels taught. Crystals contain universal energy and each one has its own energy and life force. Used with love and the right intention, crystals will raise the energy of a lower vibration and assist the healing process.

This level is the foundation course and is the ground work for the next levels of Reiki. Whether you wish only to learn level 1 or continue to learn up to Master level, this lovely gentle energy will remain with you for the rest of your life.

At each course level, students receive certificates and manuals with complete reference material, diagrams and notes.
