Relationship Psychology This course will examine whether it is possible to explain relationships, attraction and love. Why do we find ourselves feeling indifferent towards many people that we meet, and yet have strong feelings of attraction or even repulsion towards others? How close we are in terms of geographical distance to a potential partner, liking someone and being liked in return and finding similar attitudes and personality traits in common have all been found to be significant factors in determining who we’re more likely to form relationships with, and not to mention of course physical attraction which needs no further explanation! Throughout this course you will examine the psychology and structure of relationships with others as well as how we develop and maintain relationships with others.
