What are the main features of this course?
The first year is an AS course and the second year would take you through to a full A-level. For the first year you may be able to choose between two modules that focus on the study of Islam and two modules that examine the philosophy of religion in some depth.
The second year builds on and develops these and similar themes and includes the exploration of the philosophy of religion or an exploration of fundamentalism with reference to Islam.

How is the course assessed?
There are two modules in each year. For AS, one is examined in January and the other two are examined in June of that year. For A2 all exams are in June.
Who should study this course?

Where can I go next?
Students use the qualification to gain entry to a wide range of degree courses and careers. Some go on to do course specifically related to the study of religion such as that at Birmingham University with which we have a connection.
