Learn to prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes within a gym or health club environment. You will complete three units: Unit 1 Exercise and Fitness Knowledge Level 2. Unit 2 Health, Safety and Professionalism in Exercise and Fitness Instruction. Unit 3 - Instructing Gym Based Exercise. Suitable for: Adults (aged 16+) wishing to pursue a career in the health and fitness sector as a gym-based fitness instructor. Individuals who have energy and enthusiasm, and would like a change in career, possibly leading towards becoming a Personal Trainer.

Full Fitness Professional (with First Aid): Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights

Unit 1 - Exercise and Fitness Knowledge Level 2 - This theory will underpin all your practical training and your future development as Instructors and Trainers. You will cover:

Unit 3 - Instructing Gym Based Exercise - The really fun part! Learn how to put together and teach a safe and effective program, that combines flexibility, muscular strength and endurance and CV components.
