RESORT REPRESENATIVE

WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?
The Resort Representative Course is a nationally recognised programme that can lead to the start of a new career. Successful completion of the qualification and an accurate application form will guarantee interviews with some Tour Operators, e.g. Thomas Cook & My Travel.

WHY SHOULD I STUDY THE COURSE?
This course is suitable for all students but especially for those who think they may like to work as a representative at home or abroad and who wish to develop skills towards a new job role.

COURSE STRUCTURE & CONTENT
The programme includes:

• Understanding of the travel industry
• Understanding the role of the resort representative
• Practical activities covering the representatives role at the airport, in the hotel and on excursions
• Promotion of effective customer care
• Problem solving
• Planning and delivering a welcome meeting

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Completion of a portfolio and assessed practical activities.

COURSE COMMITMENT
An integral part of the course is monitored attendance as you must have a minimum of 90%.

COURSE COSTS
Visits to a local airport and attractions are part of the course, the cost for these varies between 10-20.

PROGRESSION ROUTES
Course are available that can lead to a qualification in foreign languages, travel destinations or you may wish to consider GCE Leisure or Tourism or the Airline Skills course.
