Rigging and Lifting

COURSE OUTLINE

A practical and theoretical advancement of our TFPI1 and TOCL1 Modules

Day 1 - Health and safety legislation, basic lifting principles and systems including fall arrest,
controlled lowering, semi tight line systems and tight line systems.

Day 2 - Installation using rigging and lifting principles - either to client specifications or against
set Xi projects including steelwork and dish installation.

Rigging

• Health & safety / Slinging

• Lifting systems / Installation of equipment

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Outdoor clothing suitable for time of year. This could include waterproof trousers, a sturdy jacket, a hat (beanies available in on-site shop), thin leather gloves (also available in on-site shop)

Steel toe capped boots are essential

Climbing specific hardware and personal protective equipment will be provided by Xi Training Ltd. If you prefer to use your own PPE kit during the sessions, all we ask is that we are able to see evidence of appropriate certificates of conformity and inspection records.
