During this Build your own MA (BYOMA) short course you will develop skills and knowledge in the field of animation rigging for computer animation purposes, enhancing your ability to deal with changing theories and techniques in your continuing career. You will study a number of subjects which form the foundation of rigging for animation productions, allowing you to explore and develop rigs that are innovative and fit for purpose.
The course will be underpinned with a comprehensive study of anatomy amd basic body mechanics, design considerations and implications when using different types of motion data, how the animation process dictates and informs the manufacture/design of production rigs, and user interface design. Finally, you will investigate the demands a technical director experiences across a variety of projects using different types of media.
