Course programme

Risk Assessment, CIEH
The Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) HASWA states that it is the legal duty of employers to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all their employees so far as is reasonably practical. Selby College Business Services offers a full range of courses designed to help employers and employees meet this statutory requirement.

The management of Health and Safety at Work regulations (1999) require an employer to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to employees and others who may be affected by their undertakings. This programme is aimed at managers and supervisors, but it will be equally beneficial to individual workers, team leaders, technicians or any person contributing to the risk assessment process.
It covers the principles of risk assessment and practical advice on carrying out and recording risk assessments.
