To ensure candidates have the knowledge required to be able to operate in the beach environment, and that the have the mental and physical ability to deal with the challenges that will provide. This includes managing the beach and water population in addition to dealing with medical emergencies, initiating water rescue and liaising with the emergency services. Suitable for: Persons requiring an internationally recognised Beach Life qualification

About this course
Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age, be physically fit, and be able to swim 16 length sof a 25 m pool in under 8 minutes as well as be able to handle the surf environment. In addition to the physical aspects of the course, candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge and competencies with regards to first aid / lifesupport and lifeguard skills.

Course review:
An intensive, demanding 6 day course, 5 days of tuition through a combination of classroom theory and open water / beach practical sessions culminating in a final day of assessments.
