Course Description
Candidates will be required to undergo a skillscan and diagnostic testing to identify any relevant support requirements.On the job training provided by ocupationally competent assessors to support the assessment process.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

• Deal effectively with difficult passengers
• Deal with emergencies and incidents
• Provide transport for passengers who require assistance
• Transport children & young persons
• Transport parcels and luggage

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: Observation of competence in operating a taxi cab and dealing effectively with customers. Assessment of the candidates knowledge will also be an esential part of the process.

Progression Routes: This course is intended to equip drivers or trainee drivers with the skills and knowledge to work in the passenger transport industry.
