This course will promote a good understanding of rooftop safety issues and enable delegates to recognise the main rooftop hazards & precautions needed to be taken. The course includes an overview of the Working at Heights Regulations and how the regulations can be implemented whilst working on rooftops and access and egress from the work area. The risks from RF devices and transmitters including mobile phone antennas. Suitable for: Those required to work at height on exposed flat roof areas, especially telecommunications engineers and building maintenance workers.Those persons working on or near buildings, structures or masts where radio signals are being transmitted.
About this course
An awareness of Health & Safety issues would be an advantage but not essential.

· Access and egress using ladders (fixed and portable)

· Test (pass mark 80%)
Materials All delegates receive course handouts
Intended outcomes: Delegates who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of training & ID card valid for 3 years.
The aim of this course is to assist workers and managers to understand the risks from RF devices and transmitters including mobile phone antennas. The course is designed to meet the needs of employees who may be exposed to RF signals. This would include antenna riggers and any roof worker such as heating engineers, maintenance staff, emergency services personnel and surveyors.
