To undertake these courses, individuals must hold an accredited forklift operator's licence which was gained within the last 12 months otherwise a refresher course will be required.

RTITB Forklift Truck Instructor Course

RTITB Instructor Initial, Re-Registration and Assimilation courses are held throughout the year.

The certificate will allow qualified Instructors to work on company's premises and to train employees to operate forklift trucks to RTITB standards and as required by the Health & Safety's Approved Code of Practice (ACoP). The Instructor can perform training on any type of truck that he/she can show previous basic training and experience.

Newly qualified Instructors will also have their names entered onto the National Register of Instructors produced by the RTITB Ltd.

The certificate is valid for 5 years, after which a re-registration course is required.

On completion of the course the relevant forms will be provided to enable successful candidates to register as a Qualified Instructor with the RTITB. Registration is not included within the course fee and is done directly with the RTITB.
