Course overview
The course provides an awareness of the relevant regulations and guidance pertaining to the safe use of forklist trucks:Outlining the responsibilities of employers and operatorsRaising awareness of the hazards involved in forklist truck operation and how to avoid themHighlighting the issues related to forklift stability, load inspection and accident preventionDeveloping the skills and knowledge needed to carry out pre-use inspection of a forklift truck and the working areaCovering the safe operation of forklift trucks in open and narrow areas, lifting a variety of loads, transporting and depositing them safely and efficientlyProviding the skills needed to carry out checks on the working area including industrial racking systems
Who is this course for?
This course if for existing forklift truck operators who have previously gained a formal qualification and require refresher training. You must hold a previous RTITB, CITB or ITSSAR forklift training certificate.
