Course programme

What Will I Learn

Year one follows the HNC Rural Business Management curriculum, introducing the key functions of management, marketing, human resource management and finance. Year two modules build on this and include further study of human resources, finance and economics. To meet the needs of employers you will also study advanced IT and E-commerce.

How Will I Learn

Field trips, guest speakers and practical activities are incorporated into modules, and full use is made of the wealth of knowledge held by the staff at SRUC, including specialist consultants. Each year there is the opportunity to take part in a study tour, visiting rural businesses.

Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of this course, students may apply to join year three of SRUC’s BA/BA (Hons) Rural Business Management degree.
