Course programme

What Will I Learn

Students will be given the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in a range of land-based industries including agriculture, horticulture, conservation, animal care and more. The course at SRUC Barony Campus includes tree/plant identification, fencing, tractor work, rural and woodland skills and gardening and grass cutting.

How Will I Learn

The NC Rural Skills course is a combination of practical skills and theory.

Progression Opportunities

On successful completion students can progress to specialist SCQF Level 5 National Certificate courses in or to SVQs at Level 2.
