RYA Basic Navigation and Safety
This is the first of the Ocean Training RYA offshore theory courses and it
is the first step for those who wish to crew on both power and sailing
vessels or who are involved in diving, fishing, canoeing or water skiing.
This
beginners course is the ideal introduction to all those who have a desire
to navigate and be safe on the sea.
The syllabus includes Charts,
Buoyage, Basic Navigation, Safety, Anchoring, Tides, Rules of the Road,
Weather, Pilotage, Electronic Navigation, and Passage planning.
The
course is CD based with a facility to print down any section. It is
greatly enhanced by over 70 animations. The course is structured in a step
by step manner and has exercises to check your learning. Complete with
Navigation Tools.
A certificate is awarded to those completing the
course.
