PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO NEW ENROLMENTS This programme provides and introduction to the many types of medicines you are likely to encounter in your workplace. Medicines are presented in different ways and it is important that you understand the forms in which each medication is supplied. Carers also have an important role to play in this process. Carers provide essential information about their clients? conditions that will assist doctors and nurses with the process of prescribing the appropriate medication. Once the medication is administered, carers have an essential role in monitoring the effects of the treatment. As you work through the units you will learn how to apply the knowledge you are learning and develop your skills and awareness and aims to help you become a more effective member of your organisation.

What will the course involve?
The learner will need to undertake an initial induction and assessment to ensure their suitability for this mode of delivery. Once enrolled, the learner will produce a portfolio of knowledge and performance evidence.Each learner will have a dedicated assessor who will visit them in the workplace to undertake observations and provide any necessary advice and guidance.
