The SAFE TRANSFER and RETRIEVAL COURSE(STaR) is an advanced life support course certificated by ALSG Manchester and is designed for all medical, nursing, ODP's, ICU technicians and paramedical staff who deal with inter and intra hospital transfers and retrievals. Survival-linX provides 2 STaR courses per year. Due to the high demand for course places our Belfast centre has increased course places from 24 to 30 however demand continues to outstrip supply therefore early booking is recommended. STaR teaches a systematic approach to the safe transfer and retrieval of critically ill and injured patients and is aimed at all doctors, nurses, ODP's, ICU technicians and paramedics involved in this area. The course consists of lectures, skill stations, and workshops and will culminate in assessment
