Sage Accounts Level 1

The course will cover the practical skills required to use Sage accounting software at level 1.

The course consists of:

• Adding new accounts to purchase/sales ledgers.
• Creating accounts in the nominal ledger from given information.
• Processing information in respect of the purchase and sales ledgers, ie invoices, credit notes, payments and receipts involving different Tax Rates.
• Processing Capital, Cash and Cheque payments and receipts.
• Calculating and reconciling all batch totals as required.
• Printing out copies of customer/supplier details, ledgers, and trial balance as required.

Students sit the City and Guilds (previously Pitman) Computerised Accounts Level 1 examination at the end of the course. The course should adequately prepare students for the Level 2 course and will also be useful to those seeking employment in a book-keeping role.
