City & Guilds 6032 Sanitary Ware Installer
This course is normally included as part of the 4 week professional plumbing course where new trainees are introduced to the skills of plumbing, and in
the case of this course examined in the particular skills of installing sanitary ware together with the necessary elements of cutting, jointing and bending
the pipe.
For certification you will need to demonstrate your ability both theoretically
and practically. The theory will be assessed using an open book (you can have reference material to hand) , multiple choice exam, and for the practical you will be expected to assemble and install appliances connected together using copper pipe runs.
As a stand-alone course you can choose to attend for a shorter, two-day timescale if you can demonstrate that you have experience and expertise, needing only the qualification to further your career. Your experience must include the use of a pipe bender, ability to make capillary soldered joints and the capability to assemble appliances. The two days will equip you for the theory and practical aspects mentioned.
