On completions of the course operatives will have an understanding of the statutory regulations, the knowledge and skill to be able to safely erect, as a member of a team, various scaffold structures. Suitable for: Candidates who have a minimum of 6 months experience within the scaffolding industry and are looking to start the training in order to achieve a basic scaffolders card.

Course programme
The scaffolding Part 1 course provides an introduction to scaffolding, covering the safe erection and alteration of a range of scaffolding structures. The course is a hands on course, with practical sessions to compliment the classroom theory sessions.
Course Content
a) Independent Tied Scaffold
b) Putlog Scaffold
c) Birdcage Scaffold
d) Static Tower
e) Mobile Tower
f) Hoist Tower
g) Proprietary Systems
h) Get the knowledge and skill to be able to safely dismantle scaffolds, in their correct sequence, as a member of a team.
Training Method
A hands on course, with practical sessions to compliment the classroom theory session. In order to progress their training, delegates will need to return after 6 months and attend a 10 day Scaffolding Part 2 Course.
During their training the delegate will be registered for and be working towards NVQ Level 2. The Part 1, Part 2 and achievement of NVQ level 2 will enable them to apply for a scaffolders card.
