About this course
This course is designed to act as a revision course if you wish to improve your grade from Double/Single Award Science studied at school. Students with an E or D grade are most likely to benefit.

About the Course
You will improve your scientific skills to GCSE. This includes the ability to analyse data, carry out practical work safely and justify your answers. You will study six modules in a dedicated scientific laboratory including both theoretical and practical aspects:
* Human Biology
* Evolution and Environment
* Products from Rocks
* Oil, Earth and Atmosphere
* Energy and Electricity
* Radiation and the Universe

What are the entry requirements?
How is the course assessed?
You will sit six individual written modular exams at three times during the year, worth 75%. There is also a college-assessed unit with practical work followed by a written examination, worth 25%.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
What next?
Success at GCSE is necessary for various career paths (eg some apprenticeships or primary teaching). If you are thinking about progressing on to one or more A Levels in Science then you must discuss this with Science staff before enrolling on the course.
