Does your screenwriting deserve quality time and attention? Do you want to spend an exciting and invigorating week on your latest script?

Give your screenwriting an intensive boost in our special one-week Intensive, with practical discussion, personal feedback and script development in relaxing and stimulating surroundings, in Hampstead, North West London.

The group will be small, giving you time to work closely with the script consultant as well as time to write by yourself - and time to socialise with the other writers.

Overview

Each day we will explore a key area of screenwriting from concept and structure to genre and character development. We will also look at career development, how best to use your time and resources and how to deal with typical writers' problems with skill and confidence.

You will have time allocated for writing and for personal tutorial sessions; and there will be opportunities to relax and network.

Monday
9.30am: Registration and introduction
10.30am: Premise, treatment and genre. Finding your personal voice.
12.00 noon: Discussion of individual projects and setting goals for the week.
2.00pm: Individual tutorial meetings. Writing time.

Tuesday
9.30am: Writing time and individual tutorial meetings.
2.00pm: Structure and Character (I), standard and unusual structures, developing strong central characters - workshop and discussion

Wednesday:
9.30am: Writing time and individual tutorial meetings.
2.00pm: Workshop and discussion. Character (II), character constellations.

Thursday
9.30am: Writing time. Individual tutorial meetings and optional workshops.
2.00pm: Workshop and discussion. Scenes, dramatic energy, exposition tricks.

Friday
9.30am: Writing time and individual tutorial meetings.
2.00pm: Workshop and discussion. Dialogue, freshness and style.

Saturday
10.00am: Writing time and individual tutorial meetings.
2.00pm: Workshop and discussion. Visuals and cinematic energy.

Sunday
10.00am: Final workshop on individual scripts. Marketing, sales and developing pitches. Setting future plans and goals.

Theory sessions may change according to the individual needs of the writers in the group. Evening social events and optional daytime workshops to be arranged.
