Security Awareness for non-Security Personnel

The focus of Security Awareness training should be to achieve a long term shift in the attitude of employees towards security, whilst promoting a cultural and behavioural change within an organisation. Security policies should be viewed as key enablers for the organisation, not as a series of rules restricting the efficient working of your business. Upon completion of the course staff will have an understanding of their own role in the Security Awareness of the organisation.

Topics covered in our security awareness course include:

· Correct procedures to liaise with and assist security personnel

· The Protection of Life: this includes dealing with life threatening situations or serious injury, Health & Safety concerns, slips trips and falls, violence & aggression, major incidents and panic from emergency situations.

· The Protection of Property & Premises: this includes protecting property and premises from theft, unauthorised access, criminal damage, fire and flooding.

· The Prevention of Loss & Waste: this looks at the reasons that loss and waste occur and how to prevent it from happening.

· How to identify possible offenders: including the typical behaviour and mannerisms of a person committing a theft/crime.
