Course Overview
This course is suitable for people working in a restaurant/cafeteria environment who want to gain a formal qualification.

Course Structure
This is a one-year course with attendance for one day per week to suit, from 9.00amâ€" 3.30pm in the Pegwell Building. Initially students should meet in the Pegwell reception.
This course will cover practical food and drink service including:

• Variety of service methods
• Customer care
• Effective working relationships
• Provide drinks service

Qualification Aims
The main aim is to enable someone working in a restaurant/cafeteria to achieve an industry recognised qualification.

Assessments/Examinations
The course is continuously assessed at college with some evidence of tasks undertaken at work.

Examination fees payable according to subjects entered.

Free tuition is available to those in receipt of certain means tested benefits or to their un-waged dependants. If you are not on benefits but find it difficult to pay any course related costs because of financial hardship, we may also be able to help.

Flexible start date to suit the applicant. On a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for 1 year.
