Set Design and Prop Making for Fashion Editorial

This course aims to look at contemporary set Design and prop making within the Fashion Industry. We will look at installation artists, 3D sculptors and Set Designers who work within the Fashion sphere. A passion for making and creating is a must for this course but no previous experience is required. You will understand how important a Set Designer is to the making and creating of iconic fashion imagery. The course culminates in shooting your work and creating a professional fashion story using your own creations.

This course includes:

• A Unique understanding of set design within the context of contemporary fashion imagery
• A clear understanding of how backdrops, props and set design can be incorporated into contemporary fashion imagery
• You will gain skills in 3D prop making through a series of progressive workshops culminating in your own fashion shoot
• An understanding of the roles of Art Director, Stylist, Photographer and Set designer within a fashion landscape
• The understanding of researching and developing a concept to lead or fit within a brief

Level:

Beginners. You should have interest in the subject area and a desire to learn but no previous experience is required.
