At Anglia Ruskin University you will have the opportunity to study at one of the largest universities in the Eastern region with a global student body of over 35,000. We have campuses at Cambridge, Chelmsford and Pe¬terborough. The Language Services Unit (LSU) is based in the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences and is located on the Cambridge campus, which is in the centre of the beautiful and historic city of Cambridge.
At LSU we have provided a number of bespoke programmes to groups from a wide range of countries including China, Thailand, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Panama and many more. Our clients have included academic staff and students from international partner universities as well as from private companies and government organisations.
Our academic staff are all highly experienced and qualified and include CELTA and DELTA train¬ers and IELTS examiners. Many of them also teach on our degree programmes and some are also external examiners for other British universities. We have experience in teaching a range of levels from beginner to advanced and students with higher levels of English who want to further enhance their academic English skills. We use a range of teaching methodologies to suit individual group needs.
We can provide classes on a range of English language and academic skills including fluency and pronunciation, reading, listening and writing skills and grammar and vocabulary. We can also include seminars on a variety of cultural topics as required, including, for example, British class systems and the Royal Family, British cuisine, customs and celebrations and the British media and newspapers.
Students on our bespoke programmes will have full access to all our university facilities including the library, our fully equipped multi-media language centre and social facilities. We always incorporate some free time into our programmes so students can use our facilities for their own private study and to further support their English language development.
As part of our bespoke programmes we can also include campus accommodation or homestays, business trips, a range of social activities both on/off campus and day trips to popular tourist destinations so students can fully immerse themselves in British culture and life in the UK.
