This course is designed for Door Supervisors already working in Licensed retail or wishing to start work in the industry, and it satisfies the training and qualification criteria defined by local authority registration schemes. It is also a requirement to gain this award to apply for S I A Licence / Passport.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal academic entry requirements you need to be over 18 years of age and have a good understanding of written and spoken English. It is also a requirement of the course that formal proof of identification is needed.
COURSE CONTENT
Part 1 - Roles and responsibilities of Door Supervisors
~ How to comply with the law
~ Admission policies and procedures
~ Refusing entry
~ Searching and seizing articles
~ Drugs
~ Arrest
Part 2 - Conflict management for Door Supervisors including
~ How to manage conflict
~ How to resolve conflict and learn from it
~ The importance of self-awareness and acting proactively.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
The course is run over 4 sessions (usually 4 Saturdays x 7 1/2 hours).
Assessment is by 2 x 40 multi-choice question papers each of 1 hour.
