Overview At a glance This is the national qualification to work as a hairdresser.For people who want entry level skills for a hairdressing career, this is the program of choice. Although usually undertaken as part of an apprenticeship, it may be possible to complete this course to fast track your pathway to employment in a hairdressing salon, or an apprenticeship. Learn about treating, cutting, colouring and styling hair, client consultation and advice, selling products and services, hair and scalp treatments This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway; including School Based Apprenticeships which allows the student to start a hairdressing qualification while at school. It is expected that students undertaking this qualification will be working and undertaking working experience or currently working in a salon as this program is a competency based course Application Mode On-campus Courses/Units Thirty two (32) units must be successfully completed - twenty-six (26) core units and six (6) electives.
