Course programme

Classes will be practical and taught through the learning of songs and devising acting scenes which form a basis for a performance entirely created by the learners.
• singing, this will include warm ups, and vocal techniques including advice on singing in an appropriate style – there will be some solo singing and singing in a group. There will be an emphasis on music from musical theatre from the 20th century to the present and eventually the students will be expected to learn some songs by heart.
• acting skills, including theatre games, workshops and improvisation to encourage students to get to know each other and explore their abilities. They will move onto working with an improvised text, interpreting characters and learning a part.

eventually the course will move into rehearsal mode for the performance of a short musical at the end of the course.
