SITO/NOCN Level 2 Award in Security Guarding
This award is approved by the Security Industry Authority for the purposes of applying for a Security Guarding licence and covers the core competencies required.

It is delivered in two stages, each assessed by a multiple choice exam paper.

Part 1: knowledge based training and assessment (22.5 hours)
- Role and responsibilities of security operatives
- Customer care and social skills
- Fire safety
- Health and safety
- Dealing with incidents and emergencies
- The law (civil and criminal)
- Procedures for the control of keys and equipment
- Assignment instructions
- Reporting

Part 2: practical scenario based training and assessment (7.5 hours)
- Communication skills
- Conflict management
