Course programme
A practical and interactive 8 day Six Sigma Green Belt training course, split over two separate 4 day weeks (one month gap between each week) for staff at all levels from companies within any industry sector.
The course has been developed after the successful implementation of Six Sigma DMAIC projects where Green Belts were utilised to deliver financially audited bottom line cost savings and revenue / profit growth.
The Aster green belt course is based around the application of Six Sigma tools and techniques to help solve problems within a fictitious organisation – the “Aster B Pizza” company, allowing delegates to practice the use of the tools and techniques learned through interactive workshops and exercises.
Six Sigma Green Belts add value to an organisation through:
- Use of their knowledge and experience from within the organisation to identify key opportunities and areas for improvement
- Leadership and involvement on projects that solve real issues affecting the business today
- Generation of sustainable improvements through active engagement of colleagues within the business
- Peer mentoring and knowledge transfer
- Their role as change agents and advocates within the business
What will you learn?
At the conclusion of the Six Sigma Green Belt training course each delegate will be able to:
- Understand the fundamental concepts behind Six Sigma
- Develop and articulate the business case for Six Sigma projects through the use of Project Charters

- Utilise a “toolbox” of statistical analysis tools to determine current baseline performance and the “Delta” or gap between current performance and required business objectives
- Use data analysis to clearly identify problems / issues that require the highest focus
- Determine the potential root causes of process issues
- Validate and confirm root causes through data review techniques
- Develop solutions to eliminate root causes, linked to the Critical Customer Requirements (CTQs)
