SKILLS FOR LIFE MATHS Entry Requirements
You need to come to an individual informal interview. You may be asked to do an exercise which will help us to help you.
Description
You can focus on improving your maths skills, from adding and taking away numbers to working out foreign exchange rates. You can also work towards a Skills for Life qualification.
Course Content
You decide what you want to do. You might want to work out discounts in shops, be able to follow your child's maths homework, or understand metric units like metres and Celsius.
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
You can take nationally recognised Skills for Life qualifications at any level.
Progression
You work at your own pace, and your teacher will regularly check on how you are doing. We can take you from the start to being ready to move on to GCSEs.
Materials
All you need to bring with you is some paper and a pen or pencil.
