Course programme
The course provides a broad overview of Health and Social Care in a social and professional context.
You will study 8 units, including Introduction to Communication in Health and Social Care, Equality and Diversity, The Role of the Health and Social Care Worker, and Principles of Safeguarding and Protection in Health and Social Care.
There are no formal entry requirements, but it would be an advantage to have a Level 1 qualification in a related subject or equivalent experience (e.g. work experience as a Health Care Assistant). You will need to pass an online assessment and a written test.
Assessment is by coursework.
Following this course, you can progress to a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Social Care, or related field.
You can also use this qualification to help you start a career in Social Care, or progress to a more responsible position in your current employment.
