This course combines 6 days of intensive College based practical attendance with a comprehensive on line course which embraces all of the under pinning theoretical knowledge
Course contents: The 6 day practical element of the training comprises the following modules: Day One Facial skincare - part one This module focuses on how to make: Cleansers Eye make up removers Facial washes Toners Floral waters Facial scrubs and exfoliants Day Two Facial skincare - part two This module focuses upon how to make: Facial serums Facial balms Moisturisers- day and night creams Eye treatments- serums and creams Facial masks Lip treatments Day Three Body care products - part one This module focuses upon how to make: Shower gells Bath oils Bath salts Body lotions Body butters Body scrubs Day Four Hair care products This module focuses on how to make: Shampoos Conditioners Hair rinses Hair treatment masks Dry hair shampoo Day Five Body care products - part two This module focuses on how to make: Hand and foot creams and balms Deodorants Sun screens Dental care kit, comprising:
Toothpaste
Mouthwash
Gum care oils / treatments Day six Natural cosmetics This module focuses on how to make: Lip glosses Self tanning / bronzing cosmetics Natural pigment cosmetics As well as incorporating time for final practical assessment
In addition to this comprehensive 6 day practical training, each student will be provided with a substantial on line learning programme
Each practical module will be supplemented by home study materials
This will also provide a very useful aide memoire when students are initially making their own products at home
Additional recipes will also be provided so that students can experiment further in their own time
Once crucial element of this course which cannot be overlooked, is the legal position regarding the manufacture of cosmetics and personal care products
This is a potential minefield!
Thorough, up to date tuition of this subject is included in the course, together with details of the relevant insurance requirements for safe commercial practice
Students who attend all 6 days of the practical training and successfully complete all assessment requirements, will be fully equipped to commence their own business in this rapidly expanding field
Those who do not already possess a relevant qualification in Business Conduct and Professional Awareness, will also need to complete this at an additional cost of £150
Please note: Due to the equipment requirements for this course, such as electric hot plates etc, course numbers are restricted and early booking is highly recommended
