Slinger/Banksman Course

Designed to provide candidates with theoretical and practical knowledge to safely lift loads using overhead and mobile cranes.

Course Content:

  • Slingers responsibilities under the health and Safety act 1974
  • Inspection and selection of lifting equipment and the sections of the factories act 1961 relating to lifting equipment
  • Safety regulations applicable to the use of cranes and slings
  • Safety requirements for the use of lifting equipment
  • Advantages and disadvantages of various lifting techniques
  • Inspection requirements for lifting equipment

Duration: 1 to 3 Days dependent on experience

Ratio: Maximum of 6 trainees per Instructor per crane
