Course programme

How many parents do you know who go to great pains to feed their children exactly the same factory made, processed foods every single day?

Exactly – none! And yet, we are told by pet food manufacturers that this is the way to feed out pets.

We can go further and say the children who are fed the best, most natural diets will probably grow up with the least risk of diabetes, obesity and immune diseases like asthma and eczema. Does the same hold true for pets?

Nick Thompson is a vet passionately involved with feeding natural food to dogs and cats. He will be giving a days seminar on natural nutrition. Subjects to be covered during the day will include:

  • Why processed foods are less healthy
  • What is the nature of food
  • What is natural feeding?
  • What is raw food feeding?
  • What are the pros and cons of feeding a natural diet?
  • Can I feed a natural diet if I am very busy with limited time?
  • How can I ensure my pets get all their nutrients?
  • How can I address disease issues like diarrhoea, loose stools, inappetance, allergies, skin conditions, liver and kidney problems.

Nick has an easy to understand, light and fun way of making even the heavy science understandable and applicable to the real pet owner.
