On Lynher Training

Provider description
Based on the Devon / Cornwall borders Lynher Training cover most of Southwest England. We have been in a long standing partnership with the "Duchy College" in order to provide access to a wider range of courses and assessments. In some instances this can lead to funding through the LSC or in some cases European Funds.

In 2000, Lynher Training went "online" to improve access to information relevant to their client base. It is now possible to access information, equipment requirements and course dates at any time through the internet. Bookings can be accepted by e-mail, fax or in writing. We now accept all major credit and debit cards by telephone. At present we are not taking payment via the internet but are considering this for the future.

We are on the "Professional Register" of service providers with Lantra National Training Organisation in order to run the Lantra Awards range of training and assessment courses. This register is the foremost quality assured association of professional training and business support practitioners serving in the land-based sector in the UK.

Lynher Training is also able to deliver courses for assessments run by the following awarding bodies:

· Lantra Awards
· National Proficiency Tests Council (NPTC)
· Chartered Institute of Environment Health (CIEH)
· Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)
· Health & Safety Executive - registered First Aid assessments (HSE)
· Awarding Bodies Consortium (ABC)
· Royal Yachting Association - First Aid (RYA)
· City & Guilds of London Institute

Where assessments are not required a certificate of attendance can be issued. Most courses are run to NVQ standards and can provide suitable APL for NVQ assessment purposes. Specialist training can also be arranged in many cases.

The courses on offer can be run from one of our pre-selected venues or on site if there are sufficient numbers and facilities.
