3. Entry requirements To enrol on this Access to Higher Education Diploma, you'll need to have GCSEs in both English and Mathematics at grade C or above. If you're an international student, you should just check your qualifications with the course tutor before you apply. In order to progress onto a social work degree, you will also need to be able to demonstrate work experience in a care setting - either paid or voluntary. You should have this in place before starting this Access Diploma in Social Studies. Paid and voluntary positions are frequently advertised in local newspapers, community centres and libraries, and the local Job Centre can provide help with paid work.
