Sociology
What will I learn?
Sociologists are interested in why society works in the way that it does and the extent to which our behaviour ? and opportunities ? can be shaped by our social class, age, gender and race. You will gain an understanding of the ways that individuals? lives are shaped by institutions such as the education system, religion and mass media.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry requirements including GCSE English Language at grade B. This course requires essay writing and a high level of comprehension.
