About this course

Course Benefits You will be taught by lecturers who are experienced sociologists.You will be able to choose from a range of optional units in sociology and other disciplines.This is a career-focused degree that offers professional placements.Assessment is by coursework only – there will be no exams on the programme.

Typically, our entry offer for this degree course is 104 UCAS tariff points.
Other requirements: For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths.​​
We welcome students with a wide range of qualifications such as A Levels, BTECs and accredited Access courses.  We treat every application on its own merits; we value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement.

Course Information Alongside studying sociological topics and undertaking research, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in our professional work placements that will enhance your future employability and opportunities following your degree.  The combination of modules offered makes this Sociology degree relevant, engaging and useful to those intending to enter a variety of careers. It is anticipated that graduates will consider careers in the voluntary/charity sector, social services, education, community settings or health services.
